That’s an image of our backyard this year. Currently, we live semi-rural and love it. It’s the sort of place that lends itself to fantasy settings. Some of the roads we ride our motorcycles on, we have no idea where they will end up. It’s usually some place amazing.

We’re thinking about being even more rural with more land and a lake. Dreamy. The plan is to have a large back patio for coffee and writing.

The pursuit of an artistic goal is both inspirational and full of work. The work part is the discipline to sit in the chair and write, to allow those characters to live and tell their story. When it becomes regular, the muses will show up and know that is their time to help you. After a day of writing, they’ll show up while I’m trying to sleep, pulling me out of bed to go write down their inspired ideas.
